Matter!

Here are a few journal entries from matter so far!

How does the temperature differ with the 3 states I matter?

We have been working on matter recently and have learned what properties we can use to compare solids, liquids, and gases. We can use color, texture, shape, solubility, temperature, volume, and mass. Today we focused on temperature.

We tested the temperature of water vapor (gas) together and found that it was the highest temperature. On their own, they found the temperature of water (liquid) and ice (solid). They determine the the ice had the coolest temperature and the water was in the middle. They are doing great. We are really working on they "why's" and "how's" of science.

It's been a long time!

Sorry I haven't been posting in awhile! I have been trying to wrap my head around having 65 friends!!! I do have to say that I thoroughly enjoy all of my kids!!! They are super smart and I can't wait to see what the school year brings!
